The company "Chr. Michakos S.A." has privately owned storage facilities in Heraklion, measuring 2,500 sq.m, fully equipped for the safe storage of products, with:
- Electro-hydraulic loading and unloading ramps
- Electric and manual pallet jacks for internal goods movement
- Forklifts – lifting machines of various types
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- PDA terminals
- FIFO-FEFO methods for calculating storage dates
- Product packaging
- Storage according to product specifications
- Barcode systems
- Storage of unsuitable products in specially designated areas
- Storage capacity of 1,500 pallet positions
Our Fleet
With the continuous renewal of our fleet, the company has achieved ownership of state-of-the-art vehicles. For their optimal maintenance, there are facilities within our premises, including a car workshop, a washing station, and a fuel pump.
The fleet consists of tractors (trucks) with Euro 6 engine specifications, state-of-the-art refrigerated chambers with advanced cooling units, some of which are equipped with hydraulic doors that enable loading at up to three different temperatures. Additionally, it includes platforms with locks for container loading, curtain-side trailers for dry cargo, and liquid cargo tanks.
Facilities
With headquarters in Heraklion, Crete, and branches in Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, and Kos (through an external partner), we own facilities covering 9,500 sq.m with 2,500 sq.m of covered storage space in Heraklion, 2,500 sq.m in Thessaloniki, 2,000 sq.m in Rhodes, and 3,000 sq.m in Athens. We have pharmaceutical warehouses as well as refrigeration and freezing spaces for products. Each of our storage areas is equipped with all the necessary machinery, modern technology equipment, and security systems for facilities and personnel. Our company transports over 400,000 tons of products annually across the mainland and islands of the country, with respect for both the products and our clients/partners.
